What really annoys me is when you see a celebrity arriving at a premier with short hair, that same week the star all of a sudden has long hair. Paris Hilton, Kristin Cavallari, Nicole Richie, Sienna Miller well the list goes on. We everyday women struggle with bad hair days and we definitely don’t have our own stylist on speed dial because we cannot afford such a luxury.
These stars flabbergast men and we are mere helpless bystanders. This trend is spreading like fire and its here to stay. Prom is around the corner and I bet extension sales are gonna fly through the roof. Truthfully it’s annoying because I cannot afford to get extensions with a nifty price tag of a few hundred dollars. I did some research and this is what the stars will opt for:
Hair Weaves
Cornrows are braided from ear to ear and the extensions get sown onto the cornrows. They last 2-3 months and it takes 2-6 hours to complete in a salon. They charge from 500$ upwards. Naomi Campbell adores this method. You cannot wear your hair up, because the cornrows will expose your little secret.
Single Plugs
The extensions get bonded onto your hair and it takes 6 hour in a salon. The price tag; 600$-2400$. They are well worth the price as they look very good.
Glue-ins
These extensions are glued onto your scalp, they only last a few days and they will set you back a few hundred dollars. Apparently Victoria Beckham and Nicole Richie have been photographed with bald patches so I don’t think that the constant tension on the follicles can be good for your hair. However there is one last option and it fits my wallet just fine, I bet you’ll just LOVE it.
